Royal obsession…

ugh, work and life has kept me from my dear blog.  Anyway – I am taking this time to draw attention to one of my favorite obsessions… The Royal Wedding of Prince William to Kate Middleton.  Ever since I was a kid I have been fascinated by royals – mostly b/c my mother hails from the land down under which is still under the British Commonwealth – and I’ve gotten used to magazines focused on the royal family.  I remember being woken up in the middle of the night to watch Princess Diana’s funeral – and plan on doing the same when Wills and Kate exchange vows.

I LOVE KATE MIDDLETON. Her style is impeccable and without sounding creepy – I totally want to be her friend.  She seems so down to earth and fun!  I’ve already done an extensive search on where to find the blue dress above- which sold out online and in stores hours after official photos were released. The gorgeous white dress by REISS – worn in official engagement photos was re-released online.

Anyway – the invitations have been sent and studies are showing that the American interest in the Royal Wedding is higher than those in Britain… FASCINATING.

Happy New Year everyone! I’ve decided to share some of my favorite links…

Recently, I’ve become obsessed with SomeEcards – they are freaking hilarious and you will more than likely find multiple that apply to your life… especially awkward situations.  I probably send one a day (those lucky few know who they are). One of my favorite for the New Year is below.

If you know me you know i LOVE The Office… it’s brilliantly written and I could quote it all day long.  OfficeTally.com is a fansite that includes so many fun tidbits, contests, links, spoilers, etc.  It’s updated almost daily, and it always leaves me satisfied and smiling (that’s what she said).

Yahoo Astrology I enjoy horoscopes.  Most of the time I just believe the parts that sound nice… but I think something is to be said about the day/month/year you were born and also compatibility with others.  2011 is the year of the RABBIT!! So here’s to all my other ’87 babies!

As a girl, I enjoy me some good fashion/beauty/health/love advice.  Here are a few of my faves:

Lulus.com- A la Mode Blog – They also have super cute clothes! Glamour Magazine (duh) and PopSugar - also good for gossip and such.

I always like to know about fun things going on in the area… Thrillist is great for SF goodies!

Things that make me laugh…

One of the ultimate things of hilarity for me this year was the “BED INTRUDER” video.  I can’t get enough of it, in all forms/remixes/dubs/parodies, etc.  Below (thanks to my secret bf Daniel Tosh…) check out students at Liberty University performing a Christmas Carol version of the Bed Intruder Song.

Chex Mix: It’s like a million different flavors in your mouth

Ok, Ok… I’ve spent a good many years of my life watching soap operas (thanks to my grandma) – I went through a time where I’d record Days of Our Lives every single day, and quite possibly I may have scheduled my classes around the program in college…  i still keep up with Days and have ventured to back to my first love, General Hospital.  This is all besides the point.  Soap operas are geared towards stay at home moms (wait what? not 23 year olds?) We all like to have some form of escape!

DIVISION CHAMPIONS!!

yay GIANTS!! Such an amazing day with the Giants clinching the NL West… it took the full 162 games of play to get us to this point.  And it feels so good!

Disney inspired…

What girl doesn’t grow up wanting to be a princess…. or at least a Disney one?  Designer Angelo Angelo is making that dream come true. The seven gowns inspired by Disney’s princesses (Belle, Jasmine, Aurora, Ariel, Cinderella, Snow White, and Tiana (Princess & the Frog)… can be seen below.  The designs are clearly inspirations and not literal imitations.
